$1,263.01 paid to the family of Boomer, a Miniature Australian Shepherd from Texas
Boomer, a 2 year old Miniature Australian Shepherd, was attacked one night by suspected coyotes. His wounds were severe with extensive tissue damage and muscle tearing on both his left and right sides. After thoracic radiographs, he went into surgery to repair the damage. Luckily the wounds did not penetrate into the chest cavity and Boomer made a full recovery. With the ER visit, hospitalization, lab work, surgery, medications, and follow up laser therapy, Boomer’s family had a hefty vet bill to pay. Thankfully they had a PetFirst pet insurance policy and were reimbursed for 90% of the vet costs!
