Breed Spotlight: Catahoula Leopard Dog
Happy National Catahoula Day! Celebrated on April 8th, this national…
“Meet Flutie, a “princess” Cavalier from New York City. Cavalier King Charles Spaniels were bred to sit on the laps of royalty, and Flutie sure knows it! She spends most of her days being spoiled by her pet parents, her human friends at doggie daycare, or strangers she meets on the streets of Manhattan. Flutie didn’t always live the life of luxury. The runt of her litter, Flutie was discarded by her breeder, who thought she was “too small” for anybody to want. Luckily, Flutie was rescued and quickly adopted by her forever mommy. Now she hardly remembers her shelter days, these days she is too focused on seeing how many people will stop to pet her as she walks through Central Park. Despite her small size (she never made it past six pounds) Flutie has a huge heart and never fails to bring a smile to the face of even the toughest New Yorkers!”
-Niki Ford, proud pet parent of Flutie, 2 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
