Bone broth is a tasty addition to any dog’s diet. Bone broth is jam-packed with vitamins and minerals to support your dog’s health, and there are tons of amino acids.

If you’ve never made bone broth before, don’t panic, it’s simple. And, it only requires a few ingredients.

Bone Broth Benefits

There can be many benefits to bone broth, including:

  • Improved digestive health
  • Detoxification of the liver
  • Joint health
  • Boosted immune system

For dogs going through illness, the bone broth could help by providing extra nutrients. Plus, if your dog isn’t feeling well, he might not want to eat. Adding bone broth as a topping to his food (or simply as a soup alone) may trigger his appetite.

Bone Broth Ingredients

  • Chicken feet
  • Beef marrow bones
  • Lemon juice

Those ingredients can be cooked in your slow cooker.  Once the bones begin to get soft, you’ll know it’s time to take them out.

Make sure you remove all the bones to ensure your dog doesn’t choke on any or accidentally obstruct their digestive system.
